Building Blocks

Tom Yates checks out at a new modelling material.

Modelscenery.com has come up with a new product that could be of interest to those wanting to make their own buildings and forts to accompany wargames or dioramas.  Called Reddiprene38, it looks like strips of plasticine but is in fact an innovative modelling material that comes alive when you heat it with a hairdryer, making it pliable enough to curve, press or carve.  Once is cools down it becomes hard again.  The finished material can be cut, glued and painted.  The manufacturers have plain strips of the modelling material or ready moulded in the form of a brick wall or castle gates and windows.  Give is a whirl - it could be just the modelling material you need.  Personally, I prefer ready-made model buildings - but then I am missing out on half the fun of constructing your own.
